Achillea for the dilation of blood vessels
This herb was first used by ancient Greeks for treating external wounds on the skin. According the legend it was named after the Greek hero Achilles, who used achillea to treat the battle wounds of his soldiers. Achillea has many properties but it is mostly famous as a herb that cleans the blood and it is also good for the dilation of blood vessels.
Achillea: Properties
Achillea relieves stomach flu, nausea and vomiting and also alleviates hard menstrual cycles and reduces fevers because it causes sweating. This herb also fights bacteria, because it has an antiseptic action, it also helps with allergies where nasal secretions and watery eyes are caused by molds, dust, pollen and dander. Achillea acts as a decongestant and it is also known to cause sweating in cases of flu, fevers and colds, helping to cure simple infections. It has anti-inflammatory properties and it promotes digestion.
Preparation
Add a tablespoon of the herb in a pot and then put inside boiled water. Leave it for about five – ten minutes and then strain it. If you want to add a bit of sweetness to your tea, try adding a small spoonful of honey.
