The Saint is dressed with his liturgical vestments. In his left hand he is holding a sealed gospel while blessing with his right one. This unique work of Byzantine art is hand finished with silver part 925o and was crafted by father Peukis, one of the best contemporary hagiographers in Greece.

Description

The Saint is dressed with his liturgical vestments. In his left hand he is holding a sealed gospel while blessing with his right one.

In his youth, he used to live as a simple and righteous shepherd. Soon after his widowhood he become a monk, studied hard, gained a lot of wisdom and thanks to his numerous religious qualities he eventually become the Bishop of Tremithus. He participated in the 1st Ecumenical Council on 325 A.D. He is honored as a saint from the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic Church on the 12th of December.
