Liatiko-Mandilari is a dry, red monastic wine that stands out among the other monastic products. Its alcohol content is 13.5 %. It is produced in the organically grown vineyards of the Toplou Monastery in Crete-Greece. The vineyard was planted in 1998 and since then it produces this exceptional local wine. Period of fermentation: 12-16 days. According to the Monastery the wine requires approximately 12 months aging. It is best served at 17-18ο C and accompanies wonderfully meals with red sauce and grilled meats.
