ROUND WOODEN BREAD STAMP SEAL FROM MOUNT ATHOS WITH BYZANTINE EAGLE

The round wooden bread stamp from Mount Athos with the Byzantine Eagle  is made by beech wood, with authentic orthodox symbolic carvings for the holy Sacrament, and thick perimeter. They are handmade by monks at the Holy Skete of St. Basil on Mount Athos.

Holy bread seal “Dikefalos aetos” (two-headed eagle) of Mount Athos.

The stamps for the offering of Holy Communion are made of beech wood, with authentic orthodox symbolic carvings for the holy Sacrament and thick perimeter.
They are and carved at the Holy Skete of St. Basil on Mount Athos and are available via the Mount Athos Products Exhibition.
By faithfully following the original orthodox semantics, the stamp bears in its center a square with the impression “Jesus Christ Wins” (Ιησούς Χριστός Νικά).
On the left a triangular piece can be found, in which the letters M and Θ (Mother of God) are imprinted which symbolize Virgin Mary, the Mother of God.
On the right side there is a square piece enclosing nine triangles. These symbolize the nine ranks of angels and saints.
