Saint Eudocia was born in Phenicia and from a young age she lived a sinful life. However, when at some point she became seriously ill she decided to leave her hometown, but she returned a year later. Then, hearing about the Christian faith, she is baptized, while she saw in a vision angels leading her to heaven. After her baptism, her whole life changed. She donated all her money to the church and she went in a monastery living an ascetic life. From there, however, soldiers kidnap her and lead her to trial, but now the power of her faith was such that with her prayer she managed to resurrect the king’s child, as a result of which he also became a Christian. Eventually, she was beheaded some time later by another ruler.
