Saint Nectarios lived during the last century. He was admired by many not only because of his knowledge but also because of his contribution to an improved education at a time that was extremely critical for Greece. The Byzantine icons hagiography workshop of father Pefkis presents the icon which has been crafted in naturally aged wood and has been coated with pure beeswax in order to be protected from damage. Father Pefkis has studied hagiography at the Athonite Academy on Mount Athos and uses the method of the quality silk-screen printing for these unique icons.
