So, a cup of linden tea can be a very wise addition to our health regimen. It has a minor effect on hormone levels, inducing a state of relaxation for both, the body and the mind. Linden also contains big amounts of antioxidants which are eliminating harmful by-products of cellular respiration from your system.

It is well known that linden detoxifies the body and induces sweating which makes linden tea valuable for people suffering from fevers. It also reduces cold and flu and it can soothe sore throats and calm coughing. This herb removes inflammation and helps with headaches and other inflammatory conditions, including arthritis and gout. It can also improves digestion and it can help with an upset stomach, bloating, constipation or cramping.

Preparation

Add a tablespoon of the herb in a pot and then put inside boiled water. Leave it for about five – ten minutes and then strain it. If you want to add a bit of sweetness to your tea, try adding a small spoonful of honey.
